Chief Data and Analytics Officer

About the role:
The Chief Data and Analytics Officer (CDAO) is the lead executive responsible for providing data and enabling data analytics across the Department of Health and broader health sector to drive innovation, efficiency, and continuous learning.
The CDAO sets the statewide strategic direction for data infrastructure and data collection and leads the design and implementation of future-fit data platforms, standards, and collection methods that enable high-quality, interoperable, and sustainable analytics over time.
The CDAO is an advocate for maximising the utility of existing data assets to deliver outcomes-focused analytics and insights that inform better decision-making in the department and across the sector.
