Chief Dosimetrist

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

Reporting to the Director or Manager of Medical Physics, the Chief Medical Dosimetrist is responsible for daily planning, organizing and supervision of assigned operational aspects of the Dosimetry team within the Medical Physics Department. The Chief Medical Dosimetrist serves as point of contact for interdepartmental and extra-departmental issues pertaining to Dosimetry. The Chief Medical Dosimetrist monitors compliance with radiation therapy practice standards to ensure that high quality, safe treatment plans are accurately produced and administered to cancer patients requiring radiation therapy. The Chief Medical Dosimetrist ensures the work environment enables and supports excellence in dosimetry and promotes high quality work life and safety for Medical Dosimetrists.
