Chief Engineer

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, the Chief Engineer will provide technical leadership and focus on technical excellence within the Engineering Department. This will principally involve oversight of Integrated Project Teams responsible for the development, manufacture and support of technical solutions that meet customer, business, regulatory, safety and human factors requirements.

This position is a key member of the Engineering Leadership Team and Site Airworthiness Board and requires the position holder to possess the relevant experience to be appointed as a Company Design Signatory, responsible for both initial and continued airworthiness.

In doing so, they must assume the correct level of maturity, competence and integrity to execute these duties effectively.

A key part of this role is to provide the interface with external certification authorities, approval bodies and the Site Production Organisation.
