The Chief Engineer is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all engineering and technical systems onboard a vessel transporting natural gas. This includes propulsion, power generation, cargo-related systems, and auxiliary machinery. The role ensures full compliance with company policies, class requirements, flag state regulations, and international codes applicable to natural gas operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all engineering systems onboard the vessel, including propulsion plants, generators, boilers, compressors, pumps, and auxiliary machinery.
• Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of cargo-related systems, including compressors, vaporizers, inert gas systems, loading and distribution, and associated control and safety systems.
