Chief Engineer/Senior Engineer/ Engineer in Materials, Process, Chemistry or Energy Engineering

The University of Agder, Faculty of Engineering and Science, has a temporary 100% position as Chief Engineer/Senior Engineer/Department Engineer at the Energy Laboratories, commencing as soon as possible. The role will last until and is linked to the Department of Engineering Sciences, with the workplace at Campus Grimstad.

Responsibilities

• Laboratory responsibility for specified laboratories
• Operation, training and support on scientific equipment (e.g. pyrolysis furnace, TGA/DSC, TGA-MS, CHNSO analysis, BET, XRD, Karl Fischer, ash melt microscope)
• Assistance in teaching and student projects
• Structure of experimental set-up and measurement and control systems
• Teaching in practical measurement and instrumentation techniques
• Assignments with external partners
• Contribution to the HSE work at the department
• Follow-up of the chemical inventory and gas inventory
