Chief Mate

We are looking for 5 Chief Mates to join our growing fleet

Qualification:

• At least 3 years experience as Chief Mate on ocean-going vessels with worldwide trade.
• With experience on Open-Hatch General Cargo or Bulk Cargo Carrier Vessels fitted with Deck Cargo Crane (Slewing or Gantry crane type).
• Preferably with valid US visa.

Job Description:

Main Duties

• Prioritize safety and environmental compliance at all times.
• Plan and execute cargo and ballast operations in consultation with the Master.
• Maintain vessel stability, seaworthiness, and deck condition.
• Lead and organize the deck crew, ensuring proper rest hours and safety standards.
• Oversee maintenance of deck, accommodation, lifesaving equipment, and firefighting appliances.
• Ensure compliance with international regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM, ISPS, MLC).
