CHIEF MECHANIC

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Overall in charge of the company's motor pool, light and heavy equipment, tools, and their deployment.
• Ensure all company vehicles, equipment, and tools are monitored and well-maintained.
• Schedule and monitor vehicle maintenance.
• Oversee and do actual repairs of vehicles, equipment, and tools on company premises or at the site.
• Monitor daily vehicle travel and truck usage: gas, diesel, and oil consumption.
• Process a materials or parts requisition slip.
• Canvass and Purchase materials and parts when necessary.
• Coordinate with repair shops, parts, and service suppliers when necessary.
• Performs mechanical and electrical work, tune-ups, engine overhauls, repairs, and replaces clutches, brakes, etc.
• Maintains shop records and reports.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
