Role: Early Years Apprentice

Location: Devonshire Day Nursery, Chiswick, W4 2AH

Contract: 37.5 hours/week, 52 weeks/year. Working pattern: Varied shifts Monday‑Friday between 07:30‑18:30.

Start date: August 18th – September 18th 2026.

Salary: £10.57 per hour to start, rising to £13.43 per hour after six months.

Responsibilities

• Care for babies and young children under five.
• Plan and implement engaging activities linked to the early years curriculum.
• Observe, assess and record children’s progress.
• Ensure safety and well‑being of all children, meeting individual needs.
• Follow all nursery policies, procedures, and directions from management and trainer/assessor.
• Manage time effectively to balance work, training and coursework.
• Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
