The City of Fribourg is pursuing its development in the heart of a rapidly evolving environment. Numerous structural urban projects are underway, along with territorial initiatives such as the Bourg project, the train station square, the Sarine project, school infrastructures, or the detailed development plan for Torry-East. The development and construction of public facilities are also accompanied by increased demands for sustainability, public spaces, and architectural quality. The Urban Planning and Architecture Service is responsible for managing and implementing territorial projects and various construction efforts regarding public spaces and municipal buildings.
