Policy Analysis, Research & Environmental Scanning

• Conduct ongoing cross-jurisdictional research environmental scans to identify issues, trends, risks and opportunities affecting the City.
• Analyze Alberta and Saskatchewan provincial and federal policies, legislation, regulatory changes, budget releases and regional developments and assess their implications for the City.
• Prepare recommendations, reports, briefings, and analysis for Executive Leadership and City Council as well as Provincial/Federal Government and other related groups.
• Maintain awareness of political, economic, and social factors influencing municipal governance and incorporate relevant findings into strategic advice.
