Civil Co-op (Fall 2026)

Job Summary

HDR is seeking an engineering student to join our Site‑Civil team at our downtown Toronto office for a 4‑ or 8‑month placement, with the possibility of extending the assignment. The candidate will work concurrently on a variety of site‑civil projects, ranging from building to non‑building facilities, and gain exposure to all phases of design and construction.

Job Responsibilities

• Gain real‑world experience on exciting projects
• Connect with recent college graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Assist the Senior/Intermediate Engineer with:
  • Site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation and graphic presentation
  • Overall site layout, grading, utility layout and drainage
  • Administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects
