Civil Engineer

Job Title: Civil Engineer

We are looking for a Civil Engineer with around 3 - 5 years of experience to join the Mining Infrastructure Department of a consulting engineering firm's Johannesburg office.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design of mine infrastructure from concept layouts to detailed design
• Design of bulk earthworks, terraces, roads, etc.
• Hydrological runoff calculation and water balance modeling
• Water management infrastructure design including dams and canals
• Mine waste disposal facilities and tailings facilities
• Compilation of reports
• Compilation of tender documents, including scope of work, specifications, and bills of quantities
• Data analysis, processing, and interpretation
• Site visits and investigations, including geotechnical investigations

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• BEng. / BSc. Eng. in Civil Engineering or higher qualification
