Job Scope: The Inspector shall carry out daily checks and ensure that the manufacturing of the precast concrete sleepers and bearers is in accordance with the relevant approved design drawings, Quality Control procedures and the Inspection Quality Plan, and Method Statements. The inspection duties shall include but not be limited to the following:

• Concrete constituents: water, cement, sand, coarse aggregate, silica fume and admixtures.
• Concrete batching
• Concrete testing
• Concrete placement and compaction
• Reinforcement delivery and Mill certificates
• Handling and storage of prestressing tendons and reinforcement
• Tensioning Apparatus
