Claims Consultant, Specialty (E+O/D+O/Commercial Crime)

About The Role

As a Claims Consultant in our Specialty Lines team, you will handle complex multi‑line claims through all distribution channels in Central and Western Canada, focusing on E&O, D&O, Crime, and Cyber claims.

What You’ll Do Here

Assess coverage under the respective policies and communicate coverage positions or issues with underwriters, brokers, and insureds. Assess exposures and determine appropriate reserves. Retain the services of internal or external panel legal counsel and other support services when necessary. Lead, supervise, guide, and provide technical advice to regional file handlers to ensure consistent and effective claims handling. Train colleagues on complex claim handling procedures. Work with Underwriting to identify potential risks and trends, and support marketing efforts. Provide excellent customer service to brokers, insureds, and colleagues.
