The Class 5 5-ton City Pick up & Delivery driver is responsible for:
Completing local deliveries within Melfort and the surrounding area in a timely and efficient manner
Operating and maintaining a 5-ton delivery truck in accordance with company policies and local regulations
Planning and optimizing delivery routes to ensure on-time performance and fuel efficiency
Loading and unloading cargo safely, using proper lifting techniques and equipment when necessary
Verifying shipments against delivery orders and reporting any discrepancies
Collecting signatures and payments for deliveries when required
Maintaining accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance
Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
Communicating effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members
