Client Accountant

Your RoleOur Global Finance team is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Client Accountant who will be responsible for the full spectrum of technical accounting for the Life/Health business to work in our Shanghai office.

Your Key Responsibilities

Review reinsurance cessions, losses and statements of accounts to ensure its compliance with contractual terms

Monitor reinsurance cessions and ensure large cessions are registered in the reinsurance accounting system

Register premiums, commissions and losses in the system

Respond to clients’ queries on all accounting matters

Manage receivables effectively to prevent overdue balances

Prepare statutory reports and respond to regulators’ and auditors’ queries

Automate existing processes which may include the use of MS Excel and other programming tools in checking of accounts

Participatein international initiatives and projects ( IFRS17)
