Become a vital part of Waasegiizhig Nanaandawe’iyewigamig as a Client Support Worker, focusing on holistic care in the HART Hub. Help clients navigate their recovery journeys.
This position operates in a 24/7 format, requiring shift work including weekends. You will monitor and assist clients facing various challenges, facilitate group sessions, and engage in cultural practices. A strong background in Indigenous culture and values will be key to your impact.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide emotional and practical assistance to clients
• Assist with group session preparation and activities
• Make referrals to partner organizations as needed
• Involve traditional practices with sacred medicines like tobacco
Requirements:
• OSSD or equivalent required; healthcare experience valued
• Insight into holistic health within Indigenous cultures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed
• Ability to understand and speak Anishinaabemowin is a plus
