About The Role 

Completion of DRG Coding 

• Ensure the completion of all DRG coding. 
• Ensure all Inpatient and Day Surgery discharges are coded within an acceptable time frame for submission to MOH. 

Handling of queries or clarifications

• To seek clarifications from the clinicians for unsure cases, and to highlight any incomplete or missing medical records that are required. 
• Assist in providing the required DRG codes and/or the clarifications required by CPFB and/or insurance companies within the given timeframe. 

Audit of Coded cases

• To be able to perform basic internal audit to ensure coding accuracy is of acceptable level. 
• Ensure that the procedures and standards of coding are adhered by all clinical coders. for DRG coding. 

Undertake any other ad-hoc projects or duties assigned or tasked by Manager.
