Testing areas include serology, bacteriology, mycology/parasitology, mycobacteriology, molecular and next-generation sequencing. In addition, newborn screening testing is performed to detect metabolic abnormalities in infants. The laboratory is focused on disease detection, surveillance, and prevention for the State of Montana.
