Clinical Lecturer in Hepatology and Gastroenterology

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Lecturer in Hepatology and Gastroenterology in the School of Infection & Immunity. This post is fixed term (up to 2 years or up until six months after obtaining CCT, whichever is soonest). The post carries a nominal 80:20 split between clinical duties and academic/research activities, as agreed between the University of Glasgow, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, and NHS Education for Scotland.

Job Purpose

This SCREDS Clinical Lectureship provides a structured pathway for a clinician in Hepatology and Gastroenterology to develop academic research skills alongside continued clinical training. The post will enable the postholder to build an independent research portfolio in translational hepatology or gastroenterology, generate data to support a fellowship application, and contribute to the research and teaching mission of the School of Infection and Immunity.
