Clinical Research Assistant

Description:

To facilitate research data collection, sputum specimen collection and chest radiograph (chest x-ray) at Somkhele Clinic from pre-identified individuals who are among the past participants in the Vukuzazi study. This also includes transporting participant to and from the clinic. The position is primarily based at Somkhele campus, Mtubatuba.

Brief Overview of Duties

• Identify and enroll the individuals within the prepopulated list on REDCap who have been selected for the scTBio and SIPRO-TB studies.
• Contact participants after taking part in the study to facilitate referrals if needed.
• Data collection on the RedCap electronic platform.
• Perform first line data quality control.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and protocol.
• Participate in regular and ad hoc training and meetings.
• Educate research participants on AHRI research activities.
