Clinical Therapist – Urgent Care Clinic, Mental Health and Addictions

Reports to the Clinical Manager. The clinical therapist will treat patients who have presented to the IWK Emergency Department or central referral line in crisis but do not require admission, and who require further stabilization within the brief period available during their emergency assessment. Patients and families typically have difficulty using effective problem‑solving or coping skills and present a significant but not imminent risk to themselves or others. The clinical therapist will assess, develop a treatment plan, provide brief solution‑focused interventions, and facilitate bridging appointments while waiting for longer‑term treatment to begin.

Hours of Work

7.5 hours per day, day and evening shifts.

Compensation

$42.21–$58.30 per hour (full‑time equivalent).
