Generalist staff work side-by-side with members to help them make progress towards recovery; providing access to opportunities to allow them to rejoin the worlds of friendship, employment, and education. Staff also collaborate to help members access services and support including: housing, entitlements, healthcare, and legal supports, among others. Clubhouse member and staff relationships are different than typical relationships in social work. Instead of professional/client boundaries, Clubhouse relationships are formed through working together toward common goals.
