CNC Operator Machinist - Second Shift (M-F, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)

Position Summary:

Operates computer numerical control (CNC) machine that shapes complex pipe fittings from plastic. Position requires continual presence at the plant to perform role.

Essential Functions:

• Verify proper set up of program and prove out to ensure safe machining of part.
• Deploy predetermined programs for cutting parts based on job orders.
• Rework parts, make offsets, complete clean up and deviations.
• Inspect work pieces throughout a production run.
• Measure and mark dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as a guide for subsequent machining.
• Clean and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on machines, tooling and parts.
• Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and usability.
• Detect malfunctions using precision measuring instruments such as calipers.
