CNC Programmer cum Machinist

Role & responsibilities

• Program CNC machines by writing, editing, and optimizing programs for CNC Milling and Turning machines based on technical drawings and CAD models.
• Set up CNC machines, including tooling, fixtures, offsets, and cutting parameters, to ensure accurate and efficient production.
• Operate CNC Milling and Lathe machines when required to support production needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining, tooling, and program-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform first-off and in-process checks using measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Optimize machining processes to reduce cycle time, tool wear, and material waste.
• Review engineering drawings and provide feedback on manufacturability and process improvements.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth workflow.
