CNC Technician

Job Description:

• Analyse drawings, sketches and design data to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, machine speeds and feed rates.
• Prepare CNC programming with CAD/CAM software, monitoring CNC programs and ensure accuracy of all instructions through comparison with drawing and design.
• Setting CNC programs for new products and determine new fixture for manufacturing.
• Able to determine correct cutting tools in order to reduce machining times, remove additional operations, improve surface finishing and enhance accuracy levels.
• Create and compile necessary documents to aid setting up of CNC machines, including instruction sheets on cutter tools setup.
• To establish or review safety work procedures in order to ensure all works performed are compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines.
