Color Chemist I

We are looking for a Color Chemist I to join our team. As a Color Chemist I you will provide color matches in any PPG product line and to any type of color target and gain approval for customer use within the capability of the product line. You will also actively participate in continuous improvement activities in the Color Team. You will report directly to the Project Manager. You will be based onsite at the PPG PJ Plant.

Main Responsibilities

• Demonstrate perfect colour vision and meet the minimum standard of colour discrimination
• Describe and measure a colour difference between two shades of the same colour.
• Retain and apply a working knowledge of the colour characteristics of solid colour basics across all products and be able to apply the knowledge together with instrumental colour matching techniques to achieve colour matches.
