Commercial Construction Inspector

Job Summary: The County of Volusia is seeking an Engineering Inspector in their Facility Management division, in Daytona Beach/DeLand, Florida. The Engineering Inspector is tasked with ensuring that projects are completed according to specifications, standards, and within budget and schedule constraints. This position will work closely with the Construction Managers assigned to the capital improvement projects for County Facilities. Most projects will be renovation, repair, and retrofit projects, the ideal candidate will also be well-versed in vertical construction requirements as well. Responsibilities: Conduct regular inspections of the contractors work to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards and Customer requirements. Verify that all construction activities comply with relevant local, state and federal regulations, codes and safety standards.
