Commercial Lawyer

Advisor, Legal Counsel

As a legal counsel within TransUnion Canada, you will provide legal services to ensure business practices, policies and dealings of the corporation meet regulatory requirements, including PIPEDA and consumer reporting legislation. You will counsel management on legal changes, interpret and prepare legal documents, and issue opinions on matters.

What You’ll Bring (Qualifications)

• J.D. or LLB from a recognized law school and a member in good standing of a law society in any Canadian province.
• At least 3-5 years of experience as a lawyer.
• Bilingual (English and French), preferred.
• Knowledge of administrative law, consumer reporting legislation, privacy legislation, litigation, and general corporate/commercial law.
• Strong organizational, advocacy, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and technological skills.
