Commis Chef

Scope of the job:

To assist the chef de parties with tasks related to meal preparation, maintenance, logistics, and health and safety guidelines. Success in this role will be determined by your ability to support the kitchen's efficiency and safety without compromising the quality of the meals produced. Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Under the direction of the Sous Chef, prepare and produce food as directed using modern methods and equipment.
• Ensure that all food cooked and served is of a high quality.
• Ensure that all food is served at a safe and appropriate temperature using probes where necessary and to record same.
• Ensure that all areas in the kitchen are always kept clean and tidy. To assist in clearing, cleaning, washing within the kitchen, including in-depth cleaning, using any approved specialised products and methods laid down.
