Commodity Manager - Drives

Job Summary

Nidec Aerospace seeks a Commodity Manager to develop and support the supply base for electric propulsion systems in battery‑powered aircraft. In this role you will apply procurement expertise to source PCBA’s, electronics, electrical and mechanical components, ensuring high quality, cost‑effective, and timely delivery to support Nidec’s electrification goals in aerospace.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement activities for PCBA’s, electronics, electrical and mechanical components.
• Manage supply chains, sourcing, reviewing, and buying commodities such as PCBA’s, electronics, electrical and mechanical components.
• Perform cost analysis using concepts such as “Should Cost”, “TCO”, and others.
• Evaluate and prospect in the market to expand the supply base.
• Negotiate long‑term agreements to maximize sourcing potential.
