Wood Commodity Market Trader – Lumber, Plywood, and OSB

Location: Western Canada (work from any branch in British Columbia, Alberta, or Saskatchewan)

Taiga Building Products has a full-time, permanent opportunity at our Western Canada branch for a Wood Commodity Market Trader. As a key member of the Commodity team, the Commodity trader will report directly to the General Manager – Commodities. We are seeking a competitive, entrepreneurial, and commercially driven professional.

This role carries direct responsibility for margin performance, inventory risk management, and supplier positioning within assigned commodity categories. The successful candidate will actively contribute to market strategy, pricing decisions, and aligning procurement efforts across Canada, playing a meaningful role in the company’s overall commodity performance.
