Community Associate for Summer Programs

The Southern Gulf Islands Community Resource Centre seeks a Community Development Associate. Support programs that enhance food security, engage youth, and aid environmental initiatives this summer.
This temporary role spans 8 weeks, beginning in early July and offers practical experience in community development and outreach. You'll coordinate activities at the Farmers Market, promote local food initiatives, and engage with youth and community partners. Your contributions will foster sustainable practices across the islands.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the Co-op Sales Table on Saturdays
• Document and promote local food initiatives
• Support youth outreach and community workshop efforts
• Assist with sustainability projects and educational materials
• Collect program data for reporting and evaluation
