COMMUNITY LIAISON SPECIALIST

Summary You will serve as a Community Liaison Specialist in the US Naval Support Activity of NSA NAPLES DETACHMENT GAETA. Responsibilities You will advise Officer-in-Charge (OIC), along with subordinates, on appropriate solutions and approaches to politically sensitive problems, requiring fluency in Italian language and, knowledge of Italian politics and culture. You will represent the NSA Naples Det Gaeta and C6F at ceremonies and functions hosted by the local Italian dignitaries, authorities, and agencies in and around Gaeta. You will proactively engage the local city hall authorities and community organizations to manage the US Navy's reputation in the area via the creation and completion of Community Relations (COMREL) events. You will liaise between ITN Security Section, Carabinieri (CC), and USN for base access privileges of distinguished visitors, contractors, and guests.
