Compliance Officer

LO-GO Appointments is assisting a regional Queensland Council (South East / Burnett corridor) with the recruitment of an experienced Compliance Officer for a 6-month Temp Full-Time assignment. 

This role will see you delivering proactive and reactive compliance services to support community safety and wellbeing.

To be considered, you must hold demonstrated experience within a similar role held within Local Government - this is essential.

Key responsibilities:

• Investigate breaches including animal management, overgrown properties, abandoned vehicles, noise complaints and permits.
• Issue compliance and infringement notices supported by evidence.
• Prepare briefs of evidence and represent Council in Court or QCAT when required.
• Provide community education on Local Laws and relevant legislation.
• Participate in the on-call roster and assist with impoundment duties as required...
