Compliance Officer Job in Martinborough, Wellington – SEEK

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-focused Compliance Officer to join our team. This is a varied and hands‑on role where you’ll play an important part in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, bylaws, licences, consents and permits.

You’ll enjoy a mix of office‑based and field work, undertaking inspections, audits and site visits across a range of activities, giving you variety and autonomy in your day. You’ll work with customers, stakeholders and the community to promote understanding and achieve practical, compliant outcomes, identifying non‑compliance, assessing risk and impacts, and taking appropriate action, while maintaining accurate records and evidence in Council systems.

The work is varied and practical, ranging from routine monitoring and responding to complaints through to investigating breaches and supporting enforcement action.
