Compliance Officer

About the role

The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that mining operations comply with all applicable laws, regulations, licenses, permits, and internal policies. This role supports safe, ethical, and environmentally responsible mining activities by monitoring compliance with mining, environmental, health and safety, labor, and anti-corruption regulations.

What you'll be doing

1. Ensure compliance with national and local mining laws, regulations, licenses, and permit
2. Oversee compliance withhealth and safety regulationsand support safety audits and inspections
3. Track and interpret changes in mining, environmental, and occupational safety legislation
4. Conduct compliance risk assessments, site inspections, and internal audits
5. Investigate incidents, non-compliance issues, and regulatory breaches; recommend corrective actions
