Requirements Master’s degree in applied ecology, environmental science, conservation biology/related field Ph D will be an advantage 8+ years of experience in conservation management, in a similar position Experience in veld management, ecological restoration, research programs and wildlife management in a ‘Big 5’ conservation Strong knowledge of South African ecosystems and biodiversity Solid grasp of the statutory requirements in terms of protected area management, formal assessments, the development of annual work plans and the submission of reports Experience in ecological research and data analysis Excellent communication in English, Afrikaans and Shangaan (advantageous) Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
