Job Description

Purpose 
The Construction Quality Explosive Environment Inspector to oversee the construction phase of an FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) unit at a shipyard. 
You ensure that all equipment, structures, and installations comply with safety standards for explosive environments (ATEX/IECEx) and that proper measures are in place to prevent any hazards related to potential explosive atmospheres. 
Responsibilities 
You are responsible for all construction activities within explosive environments (classified areas) of the FPSO are conducted according to industry safety standards (e.g., ATEX, IECEx, NEC), project specifications, and regulatory requirements. 
 You inspect and assess all hazardous area zones during the construction phase to ensure that appropriate classifications, protective measures, and equipment are installed in compliance with safety standards for explosive environments.
