Consultant in Public Health

At Nottingham City Council we are looking for an exceptional Consultant in Public Health to lead senior strategy, build partnerships and drive innovation that improves lives across the city.

Whats the role really about? You will set strategic direction across public health domains, collaborate across the council, NHS and the voluntary sector, use evidence to drive decision‑making, lead services, and play a central role in delivering the Joint Local Health and Wellbeing Strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and translate a strategic vision for public health, delivering clear goals and objectives that achieve positive outcomes for citizens.


• Lead the Health Improvement portfolio, including health protection, inclusion health, healthy ageing and long‑term conditions.


• Build and sustain national, local and sectoral partnerships (Council, NHS, voluntary sector, Integrated Care Board, etc.) to deliver joint action.
