Consultant in Stroke Medicine – Position Overview

We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Consultant in Stroke Medicine on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Stroke Department.

Our client provides hyper acute stroke service at their main site, they have a combined stroke unit, they provide high and low risk TIA clinics in the Evergreen unit. We take part in SSNAP audit and our management is very supportive of our services and they work very well with our key stakeholders (ED, Radiology and site team). They have access to CT head and CTA 24/7. The out of hours stroke thrombolysis is provided by telemedicine from home where they are part of the West Kent regional on call rota for out of hours. They have a weekly neuroradiology meeting at DVH and there is a monthly West Kent Thrombolysis Governance meeting where thrombolysed and interesting cases are discussed. W...
