Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist

To provide specialist O&G services based at CGH Sale and outreach services as required. Provide leadership for junior medical staff, midwives and nurses to improve quality of care through participation in continuing education, peer review and CGH clinical governance activities; and to promote seamless operation of the service through engagement via the O&G clinical group. Up to 2.0 FTE, full time and part time roles considered. 

Duties

Initiating and being responsible for the clinical care of obstetric and gynaecological patients; including inpatients, antenatal clinic, emergency department and other areas of CGH. Support the implementation of the CGH Maternity Services Plan including development of a woman-centred model of care based on the National Childbirth Association guidelines and informed by women in consultation with other stakeholders. Providing clinical leadership within the unit, working collaboratively with other clinicians and senior nursing, midwife...
