Consultant Pathologist

The Role

• Routine reporting of all Histo-Cytopathology specimens within Parkway Lab. Ensures the accuracy so as accuracy of examinations and analyses of surgical pathology specimens performed to assist physicians in making the correct diagnoses in patient.
• Be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of frozen sections and rapid cytology examinations performed at the request of individual physicians or surgeons.
• Ensures that the Histopathology and cytology sections of PLS provide appropriate, timely and cost-effective testing to their customers.
• Provide working knowledge of all phases of laboratory work (technical, theoretical, practical) in any department.
• Participation in Clinico-Pathological meetings.
• Assist remaining Pathologists when one or more Pathologists are on leave to ensure an appropriate level of service is maintained.
