Controls and Automation Engineer (Contract)

Thermon Canada Inc. Role Profile 2 Overview Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this position is responsible for the design, programming, and deployment of industrial control systems, including control panels, PLC/HMI/SCADA programming, and automation architecture. The role includes hands‑on support for system commissioning at customer sites and integration of IoT/IIoT technologies for remote monitoring, data logging, and analytics in smart manufacturing environments.

Primary Duties

Engineering/Technical Responsibilities:

Prepare, review, and approve drawings, bills of materials, and other engineering documentation.

Review and interpret project specifications, engineering codes, and standards to ensure compliance during all phases of the design and manufacturing process.

Issue Technical Documents:
