Controls Lead – Capital Markets

Overview

We’re partnering with a top-tier Canadian bank to hire a US Controls Lead within their Capital Markets team. This is a hands‑on role focused on expanding an existing controls framework into US regulatory requirements (PARATUS), requiring strong expertise in both regulations and control execution.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute regulatory controls end‑to‑end (design, testing, remediation)
• Translate US regulations (e.g., CCAR, Dodd‑Frank, Reg W, Volcker) into practical control frameworks
• Conduct control testing (design & operating effectiveness)
• Lead RCSAs, issue resolution, and control improvements
• Partner directly with Capital Markets stakeholders (trading, IB, treasury)
• Support regulatory reviews and governance reporting
