Cook / Casual On-Call

COOKS (CASUAL ON-CALL) Coquitlam School District invites applications for on-call casual cooks. As the third largest school district in the province we are located within a 40-minute drive from downtown Vancouver. The school district has a population of 34,000 students with approximately 4,400 teaching, administrative, managerial and support staff. Casual cooks report to the Principal/designate and provides support to the supervising cook/culinary assistant or chef instructor. Duties include: Baking Preparing and serving hot and cold meals Cleaning of kitchen, cafeteria and dishes Operating cash register, kitchen equipment and dishwasher Monitoring and assisting in restocking and maintaining supply levels Balance, complete and report cash and sales Maintain a positive rapport with students, staff and other facility users Gives direction to students who are assisting/working in the cafeteria The successful applicant must have Grade 10 plus Food Safe Level 1, knowledge of food inventory ...
