Coordinator Center for Species Survival (CSS) Fireflies

Your Role

You coordinate and manage all core activities of CSS Fireflies, including conservation planning, project implementation, scientific support, networking, communication, and fundraising in collaboration with the IUCN SSC Fireflies Specialist Group. Together with a second team member, you ensure the Center functions as an effective hub connecting science, partners, and conservation action.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate CSS Fireflies projects across assessment, planning, and action in line with the
  Centre’s workplan, including timelines, budgets, and reporting, and ensuring alignment with IUCN SSC standards.


• Lead or support Red List assessments and conservation planning for priority firefly species.


• Contribute to and coordinate habitat restoration, light pollution mitigation, citizen science, and ex-situ breeding projects.
