Job Description

Job Title: Coordinator- Logistics Job Summary  The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that Linamar freight is carried by approved service providers that meet our service level requirements at the most competitive freight costs. Responsibility Forge relationships with carriers and build the existing carrier base. 
Establish rate schedules and maintain and monitor compliance items. 
Quote new business and negotiate carrier rates to ensure profitability. 
Communicate with Customer Service about details of the loads that are assigned to outside carriers. 
Ensure that all freight is picked up and delivered on time and at the correct location. 
Ensure that all necessary customs documentation is in place. 
Monitor shipments and communicate with appropriate staff when problems arise or there are changes made to the conditions of the contract.
