About the Organization
The AI Robot Association (AIRoA) is a non-profit organization established in 2024 to accelerate the social implementation of AI robotics.
Funded with JPY 20.5 billion (approx. USD 130 million) from NEDO (New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization), AIRoA leads a national-scale project to develop foundational AI models and promote Japan’s leadership in the global AI robotics industry.
