Corporate Counsel

Position Description

Provideday to day counsel, guidance and support related to contracts/construction law and other legal matters for assigned Business Units and/or regions. This position will be based in either Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of Canadian and US-based attorneys in Turner’s Legal Department.

Annual base salary range for this position may be CA$165,000 to CA$200,000, depending on experience and fit.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and risk assessments across a broad range of legal matters related to contracts/construction law.
• Advise business partners on legal, contractual and risk matters impacting their areas of responsibility.
• Analyze and summarize legal documents and complex business transactions and contracts.
• Anticipate and mitigate potential legal problems involving the assigned Business Units.
